Annelies Van Caenegem is a geographer and works for the Department of Geography as an academic assistant, combining her research as a PhD student with teaching. Her doctoral research focusses on getting a deeper understanding of the human-environmental relationship and the factors that influence this. Before, she has been working as a landscape expert and heritage consultant for the Cultural Heritage Agency of Flanders and she has worked for the Department of Geography (UGent) on several projects such as CHeriScape and the organisation of the IALE 2017 European congress.
